Don’t Damage Your Skin with Bad Makeup

Makeup can make you look great, and at the same time damage your skin as well! Many women tend to use the same old makeup products for a long time. ( I know, it is so hard to get rid of it when you finally have it)  On the other hand, some women are very curious about the newly introduced products and immediately go for them when sold in the market. Are these practices good? Have you ever thought about the harmful effects of using bad makeup?

The easiest way to find out whether you are using a bad makeup or not, you should calculate how long you’ve been using it. If you have been using a cosmetic product for more than six months, then it is time to go for a new one as the old ones could spoil your skin. If your old makeup products can be this harsh to your skin, imagine how bad old mascara or eyeliners could be to your eyes?

It is quite difficult to find out the manufactured date or expiry date of certain products as some products may not have them. The best way is to change your makeup set every six months or at least once a year. This way you can stay away from most of the skin problems.

Another criterion to save your skin from bad makeup is to stop applying them often. Many women have the habit of giving a touch-up every now and then. Skin pores should not be blocked and should breath e freely. When you use make up often, the makeup gets clogged in the pores and leads to further problems.

In order to retain a healthy skin and protect it from chemicals, it is wise to consult a makeup professional. You will be directed as what type of makeup is ideal for your skin and how often you can use them.

  1. It’s also good to check the ingredients, there’s usually tons and tons in commercial make up and barely any that are good or protective for the body. If there are any natural ingredients, they’re usually near the end of the list. Thankfully natural makeup is getting popular, though pricey but worth it and we can always learn to make some cosmetics on our own.
