Chia Seeds – a healthy addition to your diet

Chai seeds do not have to be ground for your body to absorb their nutrients. 2 tablespoons of chia seeds daily will give you approx. 7 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein, 205 milligrams of calcium and w whooping 5 grams of omega-3’s.

Chia seeds are very versatile and go great in smoothies, yoghurt, cereal, salad, or even baked goods. You can get as simple as adding 1 tablespoon of chia seeds to 1 cup of water, let it sit for 10 minutes to form chia gel, and drink away! Strain off the excess water and refrigerate for up to 2 days if you want to add chia gel to your favorite food or recipe.

Spice your drink up further with some chia fresca which can be as easy as adding 1 tablespoon of chia seeds to a glass of ice-cold lemonade or limeade.
